ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT Background: In May of 2000, Donald Oroian founded ADA Consulting Group, a State of Texas registered engineering firm which provides site civil engineering services and Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) plan reviews and inspections as licensed Registered Accessibility Specialists (RAS) with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Upon graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M in 1996, Donald worked in the land development engineering field performing mostly commercial site development engineering for firms here in San Antonio although his projects were located state wide. His areas of experience include subdivision platting, rezoning, easement dedications, street closures, storm water pollution prevention plans (SWP3), ADA compliance, drainage analysis, construction documents and specifications. Donald has also performed site investigations in 26 cities around the State of Texas to include courthouse/appraisal district research, meetings with city planning and utility purveyor personnel, and site visit photography. While working at ADA Consulting Group, Donald attended night school part-time at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). In December, 2004 Donald graduated with a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in water resources. Always the promoter of civic and community involvement, Donald currently serves as the Chair of the San Antonio Board of Adjustments (BOA), the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio (YOSA) Board of Directors, and has been a past volunteer for: MATHCOUNTS, TSPE Engineer-For-A-Day, Jr. Achievement, and has served as Vice-Chair of City of San Antonio Planning Commission.
